USSSA Eastern PA and NJ State, and National Participation Requirements

USSSA Eastern PA and NJ offer multiple competitive levels of State Championship and National events. For a team to be eligible to participate in a State Championship and/or National event, they must meet the following requirements.

Only teams from the desired state can play in their championship (I.e. NJ teams cannot play a PA State Championship and vice versa; no outside states permitted in spring state championships)

A and Open classifications:

Registration in this event is open to any team, matching the age requirement or younger and regardless of classification.  The team must be registered in the designated state of the State Championship event (i.e. A 12uB team registered in NJ would be eligible to play in a 12u or older A/B/Open NJ State Championship, however would not be eligible to play in any PA State Championship).

Teams must earn a berth to attend the National event.

B classification:

Registration in this event is open to any B or C classified teams, matching the age requirement or younger and registered in the designated State Championship (i.e. A 14uB team registered in PA would be eligible to play in the 14u or older A/B/Open PA State Championship but would not be eligible to play in any NJ State Championship).

Team must participate in 5 qualifying events during the current season to ensure they are classified correctly prior to the State Championship and National events.

Teams must earn a berth to attend the National event.

C classification:

Registration in this event is open to only C classified teams, matching the age requirement and registered in the designated State Championship (i.e. A 12uC team registered in NJ would be eligible to play in the 12uC NJ State Championship, however would not be eligible to play in the PA State Championship).

Team must have participated in 4 qualifying events during the season to ensure they are classified correctly prior to the State Championship and National events.
